Objective 4: The Prototype Diagram

Description:
For this objective you will complete three tasks in order produce a diagram of your prototype and define how you will measure its effectiveness. Give yourself 60 minutes for this objective. This objective is for teams that are also changing the classroom experience.
-
Task 4A: Fill in the Question, Concept, Scope, and Features sections of your poster
-
Task 4B: Draw a class diagram that represents prototype experience on your poster
-
Task 4C: List out all of the preparation steps and outcomes for the prototype
Step 1
Task 4B: Draw a class diagram that represents prototype experience on your poster
As a team:
-
Create a diagram of what your prototype will look like (literally or figuratively) in a typical classroom.
Step 1
Step 1
Task 4C: List out all of the preparation steps and outcomes for the prototype
As a team, complete the Teacher Preparation section on your poster:
-
Reference your teacher experience diagram, and list out the specific preparations that need to be made in order to implement the prototype.
As a team: complete the Expected Outcomes section on your poster:
-
Determine how you will measure whether or not the prototype you designed is achieving its intended purpose.
-
Reference your original design question, and think about how you might prove that you answered this question.
-
Example:
-
Challenge: "How might we help students get feedback, while helping teachers track student engagement?
-
Prototype: Embed checks for understanding into each learning exercise using an online polling tool each day.
-
Expected Outcomes:
-
Metric: % of students who complete 80% on all of their activity exit tickets
-
Baseline: 50% of students currently pass their weekly quizzes, and teacher has to discipline 5-6 kids/class daily
-
Goal: 70% of students pass their daily online exit tickets; teacher only has to discipline 1-2 kids/class daily
-
-

Question:
