Next Generation School Tours

Before Your Tour:

  • RSVP for School Tours by Jan 16th using the Tour RSVP form. If you are confirmed you will receive an confirmation invite. 

  • Each person on the team must attend one tour, and the team must cover all the school tours availble.

  • Bring a pen and notepad for recording observations

  • Bring a smartphone or camera to take photos

  • Coordinate your own substitutes and transportation to the school site

 

During Your Tour:

  • Take a least 3 pictures that highlight key features of the school that interest you

  • Talk to at least one teacher and one student about their experience, record your reflections

  • Record at least one meaningful quote from from a staff member

  • Record your reflections and observations

 

After the Tour:​

  • Meet as a team after the tour to discuss your reflections and observations.

  • Understand the level of variation among schools that are considered “next gen”

  • Learn how fellow educators prepared for shifting their instructional approach
