Here are three common definitions of PL? What makes them unique?

MDC PL Framework

MDC's framework represents the core ingredients of any personalized learning model. We derived these principles not only by observing PL schools, but also by analyzing consumer products that offer a personalized experience. These were the most common principles. The primary difference from most PL frameworks is that we believe student drive personalization, not teachers or computers.
